Oster coffee maker is a product from the Sunbeam Corporation, well known for producing the first completely automatic blender.
The history behind Oster products goes back to 1893, when John K. Stewart and Thomas J. Clark went into business together manufacturing a commercial horse clipping machine. This all took place in Chicago, Illinois.
They eventually incorporated and became known as the Chicago Flexible Shaft Company. In 1910, this company entered the electrical appliance field with an iron known as “The Princess.” This company eventually became known as Sunbeam Corporation and they acquired the John Oster Manufacturing Company. Together they produced the first ever completely automatic blender, the Osterizer Blender.
